Browsers: Chrome on the heels of Firefox

Figures - From Net Applications, Firefox is still at a standstill, although still the second, when Chrome is its momentum in terms of market share of browsers. But finally, the big loser is probably first and Microsoft Internet Explorer software.
According to StatCounter is now done: Chrome delighted with second place Firefox browsers. On the side of Net Applications, Mozilla's software has still ahead - every month, however, smaller.
Globally, the market share of Internet Explorer is 52.64% in November, unchanged from October (52.63%), but down sharply since the beginning of the year (58.35%) .
Chrome's market share doubled
But it is ultimately between the second and the third competition was fiercest. And the momentum is clearly on the side of Google and its Chrome browser in November to 18.18%.

Since January, it won just over 7 points. And within a year, the market share of Chrome has just almost doubled from 9.57% in November 2010 to 18.18% last month.

As for Firefox, the trend varies between stagnation and slight decline - with differences by country. Mozilla's browser remains second to 22.14% in November 2011. Problem, in January, Firefox displayed a market share of 23.72%. And November 2010, it was 23.69%.
Internet Explorer now has two rivals in weight
With still four points ahead of Chrome, Firefox is expected to retain his second place several months, if the trend continues unabated. Furthermore, according to StatCounter, Firefox ahead of IE in France 33.96%, and Chrome.
Rivalry aside, between them, Firefox and Chrome have seriously undermined Internet Explorer - even if Firefox had begun the work of undermining many years. For supporters of free software, perhaps it is also the main information.
According to StatCounter, Firefox and Chrome together account for more than 50% of users (25.6% to 25.21% for Chrome and Firefox). As for Microsoft, it is relegated to 40.46%. Net Applications is another measure with the two rivals IE weighing 40.32%.
With 52.64% of proprietary software from Microsoft, this leaves little room for other browsers. The fourth place went to Safari (around 5%). Opera is it anchored below 2%, despite its many qualities. But the Norwegian publisher can be reassured with mobile Opera Mini which is well established.
