New formula for YouTube, organized in "chains" distinct

SAN BRUNO (U.S.) - The Internet site YouTube on Thursday presented a new formula for its site that showcases its various "channels", just like a TV offering, and promises greater integration fluid with other Google services group.
"We are really trying to combine the best of television with the best of the web", argued the vice president of product development, Shishir Mehrotra, showing an overview of changes in the YouTube headquarters in San Bruno (California , west of the United States).
"The term 'online video' will disappear gradually as the videos will be accessible on any device," he argued.
To better prove it, YouTube made its presentation on a game console XBox 360 connected to the Internet and television.
A table on the side of the screen suggests a series of channels supposed to correspond to the tastes of the user, who can then select Favorites.
Optimization models allow video creators or channels of detection.
"We try to make everyone an effective program on YouTube," said a product manager, AJ Crane, hoping that this formula also facilitates the organization "of the huge amount of content that YouTube has."
Sign of closer integration with the whole group, the YouTube logo is also preparing to change to be closer to that of Google.
The idea ultimately is to make YouTube easier to use on any device connected phones to TVs.
"Gradually, as the new formula will be generalized to the site and for all devices, it will be a turning point for content providers," predicted Noam Lovinsky, another official, "everyone is going to fight for a prominent place on the home page. "
